Donhwamun Gate is the main gate of Changdeokgung Palace.
The word ‘Donhwa’ was originally quoted from Zhongyong, and it is an expression that ‘the virtue of Confucius can be compared to the virtue of a king as great as it is’. It is written in the sense of ‘to edify’. Donhwamun Gate is the oldest wooden building among the existing gates of the palace.
